Do I need a referral?

You don’t need a referral to see a dietitian to claim a refund from your private health fund. Veteran Affairs patients and those on EPC plans do require a referral from your doctor.

What is a care plan (EPC)?

A care plan is a plan prescribed by your doctor, when you meet certain medical criteria. This entitles you to five visits claimable through Medicare each calendar year. We bulk bill these consultations for pensioners, health care card holders and children under 16 years.

What is our Cancellation Policy?

It is not our aim to make profits from cancellation fees, rather to make sure those appointment times are kept available for others who need them. Failure to attend an appointment is unfair to other patients and takes up the dietitian’s time unnecessarily.

Should you need to change or cancel your appointment, please contact the clinic at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled time to avoid paying a cancellation fee.  Enhanced Primary Care patients (EPC) will be billed our private consultation fee. For full details regarding our cancellation terms and condition please follow the link: Cancellation Policy

How do I book an appointment?

How much does it cost?

  • Private consultations - Initial consults are $120-$150 and a standard reviews $65-$75. Consultations are covered under ‘extras’ in your private health fund. Check with your private health insurance to see if you are eligible. Refunds vary depending upon your private health insurance. Fees are payable at the time of consultation and Cash, EFTPOS, Visa and Mastercard are accepted.

  • Veterans Affairs - All consults are free to DVA Gold Card holders. Conditions apply for White Card holders

  • Medicare - We offer a bulk billing service for Enhanced Primary Care programs (EPC) for all pensioners, and children under 16 years. We charge $30 out of pocket for an initial consultation and $25 out of pocket for follow up consultations.

  • Home visits / nursing homes - Bulk billing does not apply for home visits on Enhanced Primary Care arrangements (EPC). A Medicare rebate of $58.30 is received for each dietetic consultation. Visits will incur a travel fee.

Do we do Telehealth Consultations?

Our telehealth consultations are perfect for anyone living out of town, tied to their desk or who just find it hard to make it to a dietitian’s office.

Before your appointment can proceed, we require upfront payment. We contact you via phone at the scheduled time of your appointment.
